Hartington Hills is a camping and glamping site nestled in the picturesque Peak District. Run by a mother-and-daughter duo, Sue and Amy, the retreat offers an intimate, high-end escape that combines the tranquility of nature with elegant, thoughtfully curated accommodation and facilities. Hartington Hills approached us whilst transitioning from a previous name and needed an identity to match its evolving offering.
The branding needed to convey both the high-end facilities and the down-to-earth charm of a rural retreat and work seamlessly across a variety of platforms, including a website, signage, social media, and print materials such as welcome guides, merchandise and brochures.
The identity utilises a combination of an elegant serif font, paired with a clean sans-serif font for body text to ensure maximum legibility. The logo combines a refined serif wordmark with a versatile monogram, exuding sophistication, with an emphasis on symmetry to reflect balance and harmony. A soft peach acts as a gentle counterbalance to the deep blue, adding a layer of warmth, approachability, and softness. We had to ensure this approach resonated with a multitude of audiences, including couples, families, and eco-conscious travelers.
We also supported Hartington Hills with additional brand elements as an extension to the brand, including a carefully curated website with immersive visuals of the Peak District, luxury accommodations, and activities. On-site signage, merchandise and personal touches were designed to blend harmoniously with the natural surroundings, allowing a seamless consistency from the website all the way to the on-site experience
