Ok so we're looking at taking on somebody part-time. This opportunity would be ideal for a student in their 2nd or 3rd year at University, or a design graduate who has yet found the right job for them.If you don't know anything about us, here's a quick insight. Run by myself (Andy) and Jason, we're a small team of dedicated creatives. 90% of our work is Digital (Websites, Web Apps etc.) but we also produce branding work, print, illustration, motion and photography. You'd be joining a team of individuals who are highly motivated, relaxed, informal and dedicated to our ethos of producing great work for every brief. You will be gaining first hand experience on how a studio is run, including realistic timeframes, real live projects and real clients. Which is why this opportunity (again) is perfect for a current student.
Both myself and Jason lecture at the University of Salford. So along with learning the ropes in the studio, we can also give advice and pass down some knowledge (hopefully) onto whoever the newcomer may be.
OK so what does this involve?
- You need to have a relaxed personality including a sense of humour
- You need to be able to travel to our studio in Atherton
- The timeframe is dependant on work, but we are initially looking at 1-2 days per week
Jobs will include;
- Inputting web content- Design work ( digital, print and branding )
- General admin jobs ( emails, proposals, batching images, etc. )
- Illustration / Motion ( if possible )
- Web Development ( if possible )
We need somebody who is willing to do the dirty work as well as the creative work. Inputting content, resizing images, liaising with clients.... it's all part and parcel of a studio job. But most importantly we need this person to match our personalities.
OK so what do you need to do? Send me an email, Sub Titled : My helping hands are available ( email@example.com ) Include a short introduction into yourself ( just a paragraph ) A link to your current portfolio And a list of the jobs from the stated above that you are capable / willing to do within the studio Also list what other services/benefits you could bring to the table
I look forward to hearing from interested candidates
