I was fortunate enough to be offered a placement at Shape over Easter. Web design has always appealed to me and is the direction I want to go after I graduate, so a when I was offered the placement at Shape I was over the moon. This was great for me as it was my first placement at an agency that is focused primarily on web and also because I really like the clean, minimal style Shape have.

Whilst on placement, I was given a variety of different briefs that were challenging but very enjoyable. Some included taking a website from design, to coding and then finally integrating it into a content management system and designing a full e-commerce website. I learnt a lot whilst at Shape such as how to implement a mailer design into MailChimp and how to integrate a site into their CMS, both of which will be beneficial for my freelance work and for when I get a job.

I was made to feel really welcome whilst at Shape and the working atmosphere was relaxed and full of laughter. I want to thank Shape for the opportunity and hopefully I will work again with them in the future!
