Firstly, where on Earth has this year gone? I mean it wasn't too long I was celebrating my first year with the Studio and now I am approaching the end of 2012, 2nd year with Shape and another great year for the Studio.
This article is about my highlights of the 2012 year - but it didn't seem fair not to mention some of the exceptional clients I have had the pleasure of liasing with throughout the year. Working with Jackie Kearney a.k.a The Hungry Gecko most famous for a top 4 final in BBC One's MasterChef 2011. It was an absolute pleasure devouring her homemade Rendang and Thai Green curries - obviously in between crafting an alluring and captivating website in the process. The Hungry Gecko] website was probably my most creative design of the year - It was something quite unfamiliar from my usual style, but it really helped to create the theme I wanted to illustrate in the site.
Another outstanding client was Fashion156 Creative - An innovative, new boutique artist management and creative services agency based in London. The design and development of the site brought together the remarkable calibre of the creatives including one of our own Photographer India Hobson. Another creative website that I had the pleasure of working with were the amazing guys over at Spiel Magazine - I built their new online presence featuring a vast collection of well executed print material and fascinating blog posts.
Moving on from projects that are live - another highlight of the year has been designing and developing for eCommerce websites. This was a major step up for myself at Shape, designing for eCommerce certainly can test ones User Experience and visual design abilities to the maximum and with the vast amount of eCommerce projects within the studio there certainly isn't no excuse not to!
I am now moving into 2013 with the future looking immensely promising with some new Shape clientele, strengthened knowledge in User Experience, Visual Design, eCommerce Design and Responsive Web Design practices.
