Which Digital Agency is right for you? When first starting your project it might be a little daunting looking around and wondering who is best for my project so here are a few tips to help point you in the right direction before you can finally settle on the Agency best suited to you.
Check out their work
This may be an obvious one but it should be your first port of call when looking for an agency should be to check-out their portfolio, you have to make sure the work they are doing is good enough. Theres no point in settling for an agency that has a terrible portfolio but this also goes for the opposite aswell, you shouldnt settle for an agency who does amazing work but the work they do doesn’t fit what you need to get around this you can simply ask them if what you want is possible.
We are recognized as a Top Website Design Company on DesignRush. There’s a high chance as well that not all an agencies work will be on their portfolio online so if you like some of the work they do even if its not what you want, then just ask them have they done any projects similar to yours, I’m sure they would be happy to send you a few links to live sites proving they have them. Never settle for anything less than what you want, it is your project after all.
Where are they?
Are they a local company? Within driving distance? abroad? In my opinion It’s always better to choose a company you can go to and meet with. Face to face meetings are a lot better when it comes to explaining your project in-depth, you can talk it out and make sure nothing is missed and any queries or confusion is dealt with rather than bouncing emails back and forth and a in the end a key feature has been missed off by mistake. Not only this though but you can see what they are like as people, get to know them a little better which makes for a better Client/Agency Relationship.
Budgets & Timescales
Most clients ring up and ask about pricing but when it comes to the price of a website its down to what your project entails (eCommerce, responsive, etc) and its hard to give a direct quote over the phone, its a lot easier if you have your budget at hand and an explanation of what it is your site will require that way the Agency can asses what you need, how long it will take and if your budget will cover it, if not then they can try to come up with some sort of reasonable alternative for you. Every Agency will offer a different pricing model and it's up to you to decide if you feel the work that they are producing is good enough for the quote they have given you.
What you want?
What you want from an agency is someone who is reliable and understands your their client and your paying for a product they are selling, are they responding to you? or does it take 5 miss calls and 10 emails before they finally get back to you about your enquiry? If so this could be a trend they do with every client so see if they have any testimonials at all to see what their past clients think of them. Another point is do they seem at all interested in the fact you have come to them as a client and do you feel like they care to invest their time into your project these are all valid points when seeking out an agency so remember them and if they dont seem to care its not going to be worth your time waiting for them.
Any other services?
Another key thing to note is do they offer anything else other than what you have asked for? Anything else that may benefit your business? You may of come to them to build a website for you, but they could offer services as well that directly help this, SEO to boost your sites rankings or Photography bespoke for you to help showcase your project. If you don’t ask you will never know and you could of missed out on an opportunity to improve your project.
