With Euro 2024 well underway, football fans across the continent are gearing up to show their support, and that means splashing out on their team's latest kit. However, some fans might find themselves paying through the nose for the privilege.

MadeByShape, a branding agency based in Manchester, have compared the most expensive football shirts for the tournament, and it's not good news for England supporters.

Leading the pack in the price stakes are shirts from Croatia, England, France, the Netherlands, Poland, and Portugal, all retailing at a whopping £124.99. These Nike kits are not for the faint-hearted or the light of pocket.

Right on their heels are Belgium, Germany, Italy, and Spain, with Adidas shirts priced at £120. For those looking to support Romania, Joma offers their kit at £99.99.

Hungary’s Adidas kit, although slightly cheaper, still comes in at a steep £85. Turkiye’s Nike shirt and Ukraine’s Joma shirt come just under the radar at £84.99 each.

Austria fans might feel a tad relieved with their Puma shirt costing £80.24, while Switzerland, Czechia, and Serbia share a flat rate of £75. Hummel’s Denmark shirt and Macron’s Albania jersey both stand at £75 as well.

Georgia’s Macron kit is priced at a relatively modest £73.99, which may be a small comfort after the team was knocked out by Spain!

For England supporters, the £124.99 price tag on their team’s Nike kit is one of the highest, adding salt to the wound our boys only have a 12%* chance of clinching the Euro 2024 title. Despite the lofty price, will the Three Lions deliver on the pitch despite the lacklustre performance so far?

One thing’s for sure, supporting your team has never been more expensive. Whether these costly kits translate into on-field success remains to be seen, but one the fans seem ready to cheer on their team, whatever the cost!
