Andy's year review - 2012

OK so it's been another successful year at Shape, and with the year end coming quickly, I thought it would be a good idea to vent my thoughts on 2012.

The year started off with a plan to target eCommerce websites, which I think was perfect timing in terms of the industry / target audience and our expertise. The plan was successful and we have gone on to build many eCommerce websites this year, many of which have won awards and raised a lot of awareness for the client through inspiration exposure on hundreds of blogs. All of our clients have been impressed with our websites, and I am confident enough to say that we can combine our design and development skills along with our studio personality to offer services other agencies can't.

The move before Christmas last year into the new studio was probably another highlight, for various reasons the new studio has been very beneficial in terms of workflow.

Jamie's fart soundboard in the studio. Hilarious.

We have worked on many projects over the past year and I seriously can't name my favourite. Due to NDA agreements I can't mention a few anyway. But what I will say is that I'm very proud that Shape is constantly getting recognised as an established studio in the design industry that delivers results. We now have clients all over the world and regularly produce work for clients of various industries.

Continuing to deliver the Web Design Module at the University of Salford to degree level students is also something I'm proud of. After 4 years of teaching, I still love it as much as when I started, and hope to continue this role in the future.

Barcelona was amazing, that's all that needs to be said on that trip abroad.

Finding our next future 'Shape' - you know who you are, just improve on your Development skills !!

I'd like to personally thank all of our clients throughout 2012, you have all be fantastic with us ( apart from a couple ). We look forward to building up a long term relationship with you over the years. The majority of you have all said that it's been a pleasure working with Shape and that our personalities and project management skills really set us apart from other direct competitors, this is something we very much appreciate hearing.

I wish everybody a merry Christmas and happy new year. I have a good feeling about 2013.

Andy
