Today we launch a new eCommerce website for Nicola Wellard and her business 'Silver Sixpence in her Shoe'. It's been a pleasure personally working on this project for the past few months. Not only did we receive creative freedom, but our vision and direction for the new online experience was mutually agreed with from Day One. Although the brand has been a huge success, Shape were commissioned to take it to the next level with a brand spanking new eCommerce website.
Nicola's brand is all about bespoke items, personality and tailored to the individual, which is what this particular does in abundance. Certain elements, features and attention to detail portrays a brand message that nicola runs through her business. We feel this online environment beauituflly represents both Nicola and her business.
This project is a great example of how Shape can take a brand give it a whole new platform to work with. Bespoke dropdown selections, tool tips, an automatic instagram feed, unique contact forms and sliders and a bespoke eCommerce CMS are just a few elements as to why Nicola is so pleased with her new website.
My main direction for the brand was to utilise some amazing photographs taken by Katy Lunsford. At the end of the day, when you have beautiful images like this, and the end user needs to see the product, why not make maximum use ?
