The Challenge

Promote The Hungry Gecko’s street food van, alerting people to its whereabouts in the UK. As well as promoting cooking events and offering The Hungry Gecko’s own sauces & pastes.

The Strategy

We made sure users could instantly find the latest event and also understand who Jackie & The Hungry Gecko were. Giving the website a “Street Food” and modern Asian feel was important, as well as promoting the social aspect of The Hungry Gecko.

Responsive Design Features

All the features and functions an eCommerce requires such as basket, payment process and product options.... however, these are all designed bespoke to fit the brand image and grasp the target markets attention. Everything we do hear at Shape is bespoke, we don't use templates and/or Wordpress.

Because The Hungry Gecko’s previous online experience lacked any form of shop we recommended the use PayPal Standard. It kept outgoing costs low but still allowed for a secure checkout.

Social Integration

Because of Jackie’s success on MasterChef, her social following is really high. We decided to integrate this so people could interact with her on social platforms a lot easier and discover new platforms she was on.

Upcoming Events

To make sure users instantly knew where and when the next The Hungry Gecko event was, we placed this at the very top. Jackie can update this via the CMS, and the latest event will be shown.
